From Diane Cole:
I volunteered to give a class on different types of bindings. I took a great class at Road to California, and learned a neat way to do a continuous bias binding, prairie points, and a trick for making an easy ruffle. If you are interested – here is what you should bring to the next meeting:
- For the Bias binding you will need – 2 fat quarters , a ruler, and something to mark your fat quarter.
- For the prairie point project – bring 2 8” squares of fabric, 1 8” square of batting, and 12 – 4” squares of fabric (this will make a cute little potholder, in case you want to plan your fabrics accordingly)
- For the ruffle – bring 1 – 4” by 30” (can also be longer) strip of fabric – ironed wrong sides together -lengthwise
- You will also need your sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.
See you on the 23rd!
